Vision: A world where everyone has resources to live with dignity and power to shape the conditions of their lives.
Mission: Cultivate networks of mutual aid that strengthen our collective capacity to care for one another and meet shared challenges together.
We connect community members with:
Essentials collection and distribution
Transportation and logistical support
Spaces to listen, be heard, and build trust
Networks to provide or access short term housing
Peer networks that empower self-advocacy and belonging
Community-based food sharing and distribution networks
Unite where we agree, respect where we differ, and trust in good intentions
Reject all forms of prejudice
Affirm that every individual deserves both voice and agency
Work towards an economy based on solidarity, care, and shared prosperity
Stand with those made most vulnerable by current systems including neighbors experiencing displacement, economic hardship, or social marginalization.
We don't ask questions before we help. You don't need to prove you're struggling, explain your situation, or qualify for support. If you need food, you're welcome to take it. If you need help, we're here. No forms, no judgment, no hoops.
This applies to our Little Free Pantries, direct deliveries, and all CMA programs. Everyone is welcome.
What you share with us stays with us. We will never share the name, address, story, or circumstances of any neighbor we serve, not on social media, not in group chats, not in conversation.
When we talk about our work publicly, we keep it general: "We delivered food to families across the valley" is enough. Specific details about specific people are never shared without their clear permission.
When we receive grant funding, we use it for exactly what we said we would. The funds are tracked separately, spent according to the approved budget, and reported on honestly.
If something changes, costs shift, a plan needs adjusting, we communicate with our funders proactively rather than quietly doing something different. We don't spend grant money on unrelated expenses, and we don't let funds sit unused without explanation.
Accepting a grant is a commitment. We treat it like one.
